Natalie Johnston always felt out of place in the world. Being different never seemed to throw things out of symmetry until a reoccurring nightmare of burning at the stake has her feeling unsettled. Just when fear and uncertainty begin to take their toll, she meets Xavier; a mysterious and handsome stranger who recognizes an heirloom pendant she’s worn since childhood. His touch releases memories it possesses of a witch from another time whom he claims to be his deceased wife.
Next thing Natalie knows, demons from Xavier’s world are lurking around every corner to kill her. Placing her under his protection, he insists she can help bring his wife back. Pleading with her to try, he promises the hunting will stop if she succeeds. When her many attempts fail, her life begins to crumble as strange new instincts bring out a darker side, and she realizes the memories come from someone she knows to be a blood thirsty version of herself.

With Natalie’s time to fight drawing nearer, the truth about who really killed her is revealed and what she has to do to win is a sacrifice she might not be willing to make.

FALLING APART SAMPLE
Jim sighs and sets his phone down. He takes her hands in his and gazes into her eyes, “I didn’t just bring you here to get away, I want to fix things.”
“Things being your affair?” Irma asks, averting his gaze.
“Irma…”
“I made my decision.” She says and pulls her hands away.
“Irma please, it was a mistake. We both made a mistake.”
“Both? Did you really just say we both made a mistake?”
“Yes, I said both!”
“I wasn’t the one who slept with another woman!”
“You abandoned me!”
Irma stands up and throws her hands in the air, “That’s right Jim, put it back on me! Whatever helps you sleep at night!” she yells and storms into the room.
Jim gets up and goes after her, grabbing her hand, “Don’t walk away from me.”
“I never walked away from you.” Irma’s eyes well up with tears, “I want to go to bed.”
“Remember our therapist said not to go to bed angry?”
“Our therapist is full of shit!”
Jim looks at her pleadingly.
“I promise we’ll talk in the morning. I just need some sleep.”
Jim tries to kiss her on the cheek, but Irma turns away and heads for the bathroom with her purse. She grabs the cup next to the sink, fills it with water, pulls out a bottle of sleeping pills, and pops more than the recommended dosage into her mouth.
BLAIR'S WEEKEND SURPRISE SAMPLE
She took a sip of her chamomile tea and began playing a puzzle game. Her eyelids started to get heavy and before she knew it, she was passed out on the couch. Early evening hours ticked into motion when a loud knock sounded at the door, followed by a ring, startling her out of her slumber.
Blair stood up and wiped the drool from her face, straightened her disheveled clothes and hair before going to the door, looking through the peephole. No one stood on the other side of the door, but she could see what looked to be the corner of a package. Opening the door, her eyes widened at the sight of a large, discolored and misshapen cardboard box. The flaps were tucked within themselves and there was no tape to hold it together. I didn’t order anything. She thought to herself as she inspected the package for a name.

Alyssa walks up to the big window by the dining area of the kitchen to stare at the night sky. She swirls her cup of Jasmine tea before taking a sip. Finn is at the table whittling a fox out of a stick. Alyssa glances fondly at her husband, watching him create with his hands. It’s quiet for a few minutes when all the sudden their chickens start gobbling and squealing.
Finn drops his carving knife and stick and goes to the window, “Jaysus! What’s got them in a stir?” he asks in his strong Irish accent. His eyebrows furrow as he looks out. There’s a large, dark shadow prowling around the chicken coop. “Shite! Think a wolf is out there!”
